as material as time
poems

as material as time is a gentle experiment on dissolution. Poems are etched directly onto tree leaves and left to decompose through time. Each day, the ensemble changes, the colors and texture transform, and each poem experiences a unique aging process. Words shade, fibers dry out, and fragments break off. New narratives emerge – even though in some the words remain surprisingly intact. The process results in a series of poems on tree leaves, combined with micro-essays dedicated to the plant species and its affinities with my own personal memories.
